Course Preview Runs

Course Preview Runs
Get out on the course with race director, Megan Finnesy, and other Dirty 30’ers before race day so you know what to expect on race day. This is a great opportunity to connect with this amazingly supportive community and dial in plans for your big day on the trail.

Megan leads these runs and makes sure you understand the layout of the land – – it is confusing with 70- course junctions on this course (don’t worry, it will be well marked on race day), but it is good to get a good sense of how it all fits together. She makes every effort to make sure there are faster runners who know the course well who can lead the faster runners. If you are one of these, please reach out to Megan. She would love your help. Megan will wait for the back of the pack. You must have an annual or day Colorado State Park Pass. The visitor center will not be open before we leave for our run, so you must arrive with an exact cash amount to put in the envelope to pay for your day pass if you do not have an annual state park pass. You can get these envelopes at the visitor center or at the Nott Creek TH (Red Barn). Please make sure you take care of this as anyone without a pass will be ticketed.
A great way to –
- Get a feel for the course so you know what to expect on race day. Every single person who has done this race says it is harder than they thought. These preview runs are a great way to familiarize yourself with this course.
- Demo Altra Shoes
- It is also a great way to get to know others, meet new running partners and find people to carpool with.
