Those who choose to run the Dirty 30 for their first ultra-running race deserve special recognition since they chose to run one of the toughest 50K’s in the country for their first.  We affectionately call these Dirty 30’ers “Sisu’s”.  Sisu is a Finnish word meaning grit, determination, perseverance, and intestinal fortitude.
